At ACME, our mission is simple, to make it easier and more accessible than ever to have the best photography tools at your fingertips. We offer rental of the very best in premium photographic equipment both online and direct from our Salt Lake City storefront conveniently located in the heart of Sugarhouse.

How ACME rentals work

Select a product from our wide range of top shelf cameras and equipment. Select the dates and from which location you’d like to pick it up, and you’re done. The best tools of the trade available to you quickly and painlessly!

Pricing & Rental Terms

Fees for our equipment vary. Please consult our product pages to find out the specific rental price for each product.

Please note that equipment rented on weekends is full price.
Weekday Rentals (M-Th) receive 25% off.
Week long rentals are charged the equivalent of 3.5 days at full price instead of a full week or 7 days.

Please inquire for rental pricing for periods longer than two weeks.

All rentals are due back at 9:00 am the day after your reservation period. (For example, a Monday through Thursday reservation would be due Friday at 9a.m) There is a $10 fee for items returned late. We hate to be sticklers, we just want to insure that all reserved equipment is ready and available for our customer’s needs. If an item isn’t returned within the agreed upon rental period, then it may pose an inconvenience for another customer.

Equipment Delivery & Store Pick ups

ACME is pleased to offer convenient delivery of our rental equipment to several locations around the Valley. No more road trips or long waits at the post office, now you can have the best tools of the trade delivered right to your neighborhood! In Salt Lake, visit us at our Sugarhouse storefront.

We charge a $5 roundtrip delivery fee for this service.

Rental pick-ups will be available at locations beginning at 10:00 a.m. and will be due back the following day at 9:00a.m. (please enquire if you need an item before 10:00a.m.) Late rental returns will be charged a $10 fee (returns are considered late after one hour).

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the equipment I want is unavailable?

We do our best to keep popular items in stock. However, if the item you need isn’t available, please call us directly and we will recommend similar products that may work for your needs.

What time is equipment due back? What if I return it late?

All rentals are due back to the store at 9:00 am the following day. We hate to be sticklers, we just want to insure that all reserved equipment is ready and available for our customer’s needs. If an item isn’t returned within the agreed upon rental period, then it may pose an inconvenience for another customer. There is a $10 fee for items returned late. Please note that if you return your equipment later than noon the following day, you will be charged for a second day’s rental.

Do you allow early pick ups?

You may pick up rental equipment early (based upon availability) between 5:00-6:00pm the evening before your rental period if it is available. If you are certain you need the equipment the night before, we would recommend a two day rental to ensure availability.

What if my shoot is canceled and I no longer need the rental item?

As long as we are notified of a cancelation 24 hours in advance of the rental period, you will not be charged for your rental. Cancellations made after the 24 hour period will be charged 50% of the original rental fee.

Do you charge if I forget to pick up my equipment?

We will charge 50% of the original rental fee for all no-shows.

What if the product is broken or damaged when I receive it?

Please notify us immediately and we will get a replacement to you as soon as possible.

What if the equipment is stolen while I have it?

ACME does not provide insurance. You are responsible for the full replacement cost if anything is lost or stolen.

What if the store is closed and I want to pick up/drop off?

Sorry, but our store hours are 8:30 am -6:00 pm only.
